Our beginner workshops are for anyone interested in a unique and fun hands on experience without needing to be an expert. These workshops are well suited for family outings, double date nights with friends, and group parties or events where the name of the game is to try something new and have a memorable experience learning with others!

Hand Forged Marshmallow Skewers
We’ll cover a few very basic blacksmithing techniques that we’ll use to form unique twists, scrolls and decorative curls for your own unique piece of functional art. The skewers are forged from stainless steel which means they won’t rust! This workshop builds creative problem solving, resilience, and intention toward a goal. You’ll never forget the experience! AND you’ll never have to search in the dark for a marshmallow stick again!
MIG Welding with a Buddy
This beginner workshop introduces the basics of “MIG” welding and how easy it can be to permanently join pieces of metal. We will teach the proper welding set up, metal prep, various types of weld joints, clamping, tacking and finishing welds. This workshop is a great first step for building skills and confidence with welding that will translate to more creative explorations as you go.
Hand Forged Copper Bracelets
This 3 hour intro to blacksmithing workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn how to forge, form and heat treat copper to make simple bracelets. We will apply blacksmithing techniques including curls, scrolls and twists as well as a variety of textures to make simple wearable forms.
Stone Carving
We will go over a few of the simple techniques of using a Dremel tool and a few small carving bits to get you started and we will also go over the basics of sanding and finishing the stone. We will also spend time reflecting on the process and how being present can carve peace into other parts of your life by removing that which does not matter in each moment.
Hand Forged Bottle Openers
This 2 1/2 hour intro to blacksmithing workshop offers participants the opportunity to pick up a few quick techniques using the anvil, vice, and forge to make a few of your own unique bottle openers. Anyone who can hold a hammer can enjoy this simple intro class and really get creative with designing and forging your own functional piece of metal art.
